Corporate airport transfers and business travel in Glasgow
GLA Transfers runs corporate accounts with no setup fee and no minimum spend. Any business can open one, whether that is four airport runs a year or four a week. What you get is a reliable operator with business admin that works, rather than a chauffeur marque charging for the badge.
The short version
No setup fee. No minimum spend. Credit terms negotiable. A named account manager and a priority line.
Cost centre or PO reference on every booking. A self-service account portal for invoices, statements and journey history. VAT receipts as standard.
Mercedes V-Class and executive saloons with free onboard Wi-Fi, branded or unbranded by request.
The same fixed-price, flight-tracked reliability as every other GLA Transfers journey, with a published on-time record you can check.
How do I open a corporate account with GLA Transfers?
Email Nick Capuano, the owner, at nick@glatransfers.co.uk or phone 0141 473 4300. There is no application process to sit through, no setup fee and no minimum spend to qualify.
Most operators gate corporate terms behind a volume commitment. GLA Transfers does not, because a firm that books six airport runs a year still needs a cost centre reference on the invoice and still needs the car to turn up at 4am.
What the account gives you
A named account manager. A person who knows your account, your regular routes and your travellers, not a general enquiries inbox.
A priority line. Corporate bookings and changes go through a direct route rather than the general queue.
Credit terms, negotiable. Agreed with you rather than imposed. Talk to Nick about what suits your finance team.
Cost centre or PO reference on every booking. Captured at the point of booking, carried onto the paperwork, so your finance team is not reconciling airport runs by guesswork at month end.
A self-service account portal. Every GLA Transfers corporate account gets one. Book, review journey history, pull invoices and download statements yourself, at any hour, without emailing anyone or waiting for month end.
Downloadable statements and an expense export. Journey level detail you can pull down from the portal and hand to accounts or drop into an expense system.
VAT receipts as standard. On every journey, available in the portal, with a clear paper trail against the reference you supplied.
Can GLA Transfers handle a large arrival or a conference?
Yes. The largest event GLA Transfers has handled moved more than 120 passengers in a single coordinated movement, using a mixed fleet of eight-seaters, Mercedes V-Class, saloons and executive vehicles running together. That is a real job rather than a stated capacity, which is the only honest measure of what an operator can put on the ground.
The mix is the part that matters. A conference arrival is rarely 120 identical passengers. It is a group of delegates who travel well together in eight-seaters, a handful of people who need a saloon, and two or three who should be in an executive car. GLA Transfers builds the movement around who is actually arriving rather than sending whatever is free.
Multi-vehicle work is a dispatch problem rather than a fleet problem. GLA Transfers allocates every vehicle in advance against the same flight or the same start time, the office tracks the inbound aircraft, and one person owns the whole movement rather than each car being treated as a separate booking.
The work this covers
- Conference and event arrivals, where a group lands together and needs to be at the venue together, in a mix of vehicle types to suit who is travelling
- Roadshows and multi-day itineraries with several stops and changing passenger numbers
- Shuttles between hotels, venues and the airport across a run of days
- Board meetings and site visits where several people arrive on different flights and leave at the same time
- Client collections, where the car is the first thing your visitor sees
Can I request the same driver every time?
Yes, where possible, and GLA Transfers will tell you honestly when it is not. Ask for it on the account and we will hold the same driver for a traveller or a route wherever the schedule allows.
We will not pretend it is guaranteed. A driver is a person with a rota, and a promise that holds on a Tuesday and breaks on a bank holiday is worth less than an honest arrangement. What we will do is try, and say so when we cannot.
For a regular traveller this matters more than most operators admit. A driver who already knows the route, the building, the entrance and whether you want to talk at 5am is a materially better journey than a stranger with a postcode.
What are the vehicles and the drivers like?
Mercedes V-Class and executive saloons with free onboard Wi-Fi, suited professional chauffeurs, and a choice of branded or unbranded vehicles. Smart and dependable rather than ostentatious.
Branded or unbranded, your choice. Some clients want the car to say who it is. Others are collecting someone sensitive and would rather it did not. Tell us at booking.
Free onboard Wi-Fi. In every GLA Transfers executive vehicle, at no extra cost. A 25 minute run from Glasgow Airport into the city is 25 minutes of working time rather than 25 minutes lost.
Suited chauffeurs on executive work. Formal presentation where the journey calls for it, without the theatre.
Discretion as standard. GLA Transfers drivers do not discuss passengers, destinations or anything said in the car. That applies to every journey, not only the ones flagged as sensitive.
Checked before they drive for us. Our office physically inspects the original private hire licence and insurance documents, and the driver app requires a facial scan at every login, so the person driving your travellers is the person whose documents we checked. The full process is on the service commitments page.
How reliable is it for a time-critical business journey?
99.3 per cent of 18,279 journeys since 2017 had the driver on site at or before the agreed time, and GLA Transfers publishes the failures alongside the figure. Twenty-two journeys in that period had no car arrive at all. We would rather you saw that number than took a guarantee on trust.
Every GLA Transfers corporate journey carries the same machinery as every other one: the driver allocated the day before rather than dispatched on the night, a backup driver assigned to the journey, live flight tracking that re-times an arrival automatically, and a person answering the phone 24 hours a day.
Any pickup before 06:00 also carries the GLA Transfers Early Flight Promise, which is the four things that happen automatically on the journeys that most often go wrong elsewhere.
The counting method, the denominator and the failures are all published on the service commitments page.
What does it cost?
The same fixed fares as any other GLA Transfers journey, agreed before travel and unchanged afterwards. No corporate surcharge, no account fee, no premium for the invoice.
The fare does not move for traffic, time of day or demand, which matters more on business travel than on leisure, because a finance team can budget a fixed number and cannot budget a meter. Airport charges, tolls and parking are inside the fare, and there is no booking fee and no card surcharge. Everything included as standard is set out on the what is included page.
For regular routes GLA Transfers will agree a fixed rate card, so the same journey costs the same every time and your travellers do not have to think about it.
What GLA Transfers is not
Worth being straight about, because it will save both of us a conversation.
- Not a luxury chauffeur marque. If you need a liveried S-Class and a close protection detail, we are not the right call. We are a dependable operator with executive vehicles and business admin that works.
- Not on demand. GLA Transfers is pre-booked only, with at least two hours notice. The trade is that your driver is assigned in advance rather than found at the last minute.
- Not a nationwide operator. Inside Scotland every journey is driven by our own drivers. Outside Scotland it is arranged through a partner operator who has passed the same checks, and we tell you before you travel when that is the case.
Common questions
Is there a setup fee or minimum spend on a corporate account?
No to both. GLA Transfers corporate accounts have no setup fee and no minimum spend, so any business can open one regardless of how often it travels. Credit terms are negotiated with you rather than imposed. Contact Nick Capuano at nick@glatransfers.co.uk or phone 0141 473 4300.
Can I put a cost centre or PO reference on a booking?
Yes, on every booking. The reference is captured when the journey is booked and carried through onto the paperwork, so journeys can be allocated to the right budget without your finance team reconstructing them afterwards. VAT receipts are issued as standard.
Can I get an expense export or a statement for accounts?
Yes. GLA Transfers provides downloadable statements and a journey level expense export, so corporate travel can be reconciled against cost centres and dropped into an expense system rather than typed out by hand.
How many vehicles can GLA Transfers provide at one time?
The largest event GLA Transfers has handled moved more than 120 passengers in a single coordinated movement, using a mixed fleet of eight-seaters, Mercedes V-Class, saloons and executive vehicles together. Every vehicle is allocated in advance against the same flight or start time, and one person in the office owns the whole movement rather than treating each car as a separate booking.
Can a business traveller request the same driver each time?
Yes, where the schedule allows, and GLA Transfers will say plainly when it does not. Ask for it on the account and we will hold the same driver for a traveller or a route wherever possible. We do not present it as guaranteed, because a driver is a person with a rota and a promise that breaks on a bank holiday is worth less than an honest arrangement.
Can I have an unbranded vehicle for a sensitive collection?
Yes. GLA Transfers offers branded or unbranded vehicles, chosen at booking. Drivers do not discuss passengers, destinations or anything said in the car, on any journey rather than only on the ones flagged as sensitive.
Is there a corporate surcharge on the fare?
No. Corporate journeys use the same fixed fares as any other GLA Transfers booking, agreed before travel and unchanged afterwards. There is no account fee, no corporate premium and no charge for invoicing. For regular routes we will agree a fixed rate card so the same journey costs the same every time.
Is there Wi-Fi in the vehicles?
Yes, free onboard Wi-Fi in every GLA Transfers executive vehicle, at no extra cost and with nothing to sign up for. A 25 minute run from Glasgow Airport into the city centre becomes working time rather than time lost, which is the difference most business travellers actually notice.
Is there an online account portal for corporate clients?
Yes. Every GLA Transfers corporate account includes a self-service portal, at no charge. Book journeys, review the full history against your cost centre or PO references, pull invoices and VAT receipts, and download statements and the expense export yourself, at any hour, without emailing anyone or waiting for month end.
Who does a corporate account holder contact out of hours?
Phone 0141 473 4300, answered 24 hours a day by a person rather than a queue. Account holders also have a priority line and a named account manager. Complaints reach Nick Capuano, the owner, directly at nick@glatransfers.co.uk, with a reply inside 30 minutes and within 24 hours where the answer needs a manager or Nick himself.
