Oasis at Celtic Park 2027: Airport Transfers and Concert Taxis

Oasis play Celtic Park on five nights in May 2027: Friday 21, Sunday 23, Tuesday 25, Friday 28 and Saturday 29 May. Celtic Park holds 60,411 people, so across those five nights roughly 302,000 people will need to get to Parkhead and back out again. GLA Transfers has been running fixed price private hire in Glasgow since 2017 and is taking Celtic Park bookings for all five dates now.

This page is about getting there and getting home. We do not sell concert tickets and we are not connected to Oasis, Celtic FC or Ticketmaster.

The short version

Glasgow Airport to Celtic Park is about 13 miles and normally 25 to 35 minutes. Celtic Park has no public car park on concert nights. There is no taxi rank at the stadium, and 60,411 people leave at the same time. A pre-booked private hire car is allocated to you in advance at a price agreed before you travel, which is the whole point of booking one rather than opening an app at 22:45 with 60,000 other people.

When is Oasis playing at Celtic Park?

Richard Ashcroft is listed as the support act on the Glasgow dates. Stage times have not been published yet.

Celtic Park is at Celtic Park, Parkhead, Glasgow G40 3RE, on London Road about two and a half miles east of Glasgow city centre. Capacity is 60,411.

How far is Celtic Park from Glasgow Airport?

Celtic Park is about 13 miles from Glasgow Airport and the drive normally takes 25 to 35 minutes. On a concert night, add time. Five Oasis nights at 60,411 people each will put traffic on London Road that nothing else in the Glasgow calendar matches.

The other two airports GLA Transfers covers are further out:

FromApproximate distanceNormal driving time
Glasgow Airport13 miles25 to 35 minutes
Edinburgh Airport45 miles1 hour to 1 hour 15
Glasgow Prestwick34 miles45 to 55 minutes

All three are quoted as a fixed price before you book. The price does not change because the journey happens on an Oasis night. See the fixed fare table or ask for a quote.

One small thing in your favour: Celtic Park sits in Parkhead, outside the Glasgow city centre Low Emission Zone. A journey from any of the three airports to the stadium does not need to enter the zone.

Can I book a Celtic Park transfer now, eight months ahead?

Yes, and for these five dates you should. GLA Transfers takes bookings for any date in the calendar, and a booking made in September 2026 for 21 May 2027 is held at the price agreed on the day you book it.

The reason to do it early is not fear of missing out, it is arithmetic. Glasgow’s licensed private hire fleet does not grow by 60,000 seats because Oasis are in town. Five nights in eight days, each emptying a full stadium, is the tightest the city’s vehicle supply will be all year. Everyone booking in the last fortnight of May 2027 is competing for the same cars.

Booking early costs you nothing. GLA Transfers takes no booking fee and no deposit, and a booking can be changed free of charge provided there are more than two hours before the pickup time.

Is there parking at Celtic Park for the Oasis concerts?

Celtic Park does not operate a general public car park on event days, and the residential streets around Parkhead are subject to event day traffic management. Both Celtic FC and Glasgow City Council direct people to public transport or to being dropped off rather than to driving and parking.

For most people coming from outside the east end, that leaves three options: the train to Dalmarnock and a ten minute walk, a bus along London Road, or a pre-booked car that drops you and leaves. A pre-booked private hire car has no parking problem because it does not park.

Check the arrangements for your specific date on the Celtic FC and Glasgow City Council websites closer to the time. Event day restrictions are set per event and they change.

What time will the Oasis concerts finish?

Stage times for Celtic Park have not been announced. Anyone telling you a finish time in September 2026 is guessing, so GLA Transfers will not.

What that means practically is this. Book your return pickup for 30 minutes after the advertised finish time once it is published, which gives the crowd a head start and means you walk to a waiting car instead of standing in one. If you are catching a flight or a train, tell us that instead of a pickup time and the office works backwards from it.

When stage times are confirmed, they will be published on this page and every affected booking will be reviewed against them. If your pickup time no longer makes sense, the office will phone you.

How do I get away from Celtic Park after the concert?

There is no taxi rank at Celtic Park, and 60,411 people finish at the same moment. That is the single hardest part of the night and it is worth being honest about how the options actually behave.

OptionWhat actually happens
Hailing a taxi in the streetVery unlikely to work. Parkhead is residential and any passing hackney will already be occupied.
Opening a ride hailing appWorks eventually, at whatever the price rises to. Demand pricing is exactly what a stadium emptying is designed to trigger.
Train from DalmarnockCheapest by a distance, and genuinely the right answer for many people. Busy, and you need to check the last train for your line.
Pre-booked private hireThe car is allocated to your booking in advance, at the price agreed when you booked. Not affected by demand pricing, because the price was already fixed.

A pre-booked private hire car in Scotland cannot be flagged down in the street. That is not a limitation on the night, it is the reason it is still yours at 22:45 when nothing else is available.

GLA Transfers agrees a named pickup point with you when you book, chosen to sit outside the immediate crowd and road closures rather than at the stadium gates. You get the driver’s name, photo and vehicle registration in advance, and the office is on the phone throughout on 0141 473 4300.

Can GLA Transfers move a group to Celtic Park?

Yes. Vehicles run from saloons and estates up to Mercedes V-Class, eight seaters and 16 seat minibuses, and multiple vehicles can be allocated to one arrival so a group travels together rather than in whatever turns up.

The largest single movement GLA Transfers has coordinated was more than 120 passengers, using a mixed fleet of eight seaters, Mercedes V-Class, saloons and executive vehicles running together. Every vehicle was allocated in advance against the same start time, with one person in the office owning the whole movement.

For a group, the return leg matters more than the outbound. Twelve people trying to regroup and find cars in a crowd of 60,000 is a different problem from twelve people walking to two vehicles at an agreed point. See minibus transfers and event transport.

Flying home the morning after the concert?

Every GLA Transfers pickup before 06:00 carries the Early Flight Promise, at no extra cost. Your driver is allocated the day before rather than dispatched on the night, a backup driver is assigned to your journey, the dispatch system flags a driver running behind and the office phones you before you notice, and the phone is answered by a person at any hour.

This matters more after a concert than on any other night. A 05:00 airport pickup after a gig that finished at 22:30 is the journey people are least equipped to rescue themselves from, which is why it is the one GLA Transfers plans hardest for.

What is included in the fare?

The quoted price is the price you pay. There is nothing collected by the driver at the end of the journey and no meter running in the traffic on London Road.

  • A 60 minute free waiting window from the moment your flight lands
  • Live flight tracking, so a delay re-times your pickup automatically and is never charged for
  • Meet and greet inside the terminal, with a name board
  • Luggage support to the door
  • Free infant, toddler and booster child seats on request
  • Airport charges, tolls and parking
  • No booking fee, no card surcharge and no demand pricing
  • A person on the phone 24 hours a day on 0141 473 4300

The full list, and what happens if you take longer than your free hour, is on what is included in every fare.

When not to book GLA Transfers for Celtic Park

Three situations where something else is the better answer, and saying so is cheaper than disappointing you.

  1. You are already in Glasgow city centre and you are two people. The train from Argyle Street or Bridgeton to Dalmarnock costs a few pounds and takes minutes. A private car for that journey is money spent on convenience you will barely notice.
  2. You want to leave the moment the last song finishes. Nobody can drive you out of a road closure. If your priority is speed rather than comfort, walk fifteen minutes away from the stadium first, whatever you have booked.
  3. You are staying within walking distance. Plenty of people stay in the east end or the Merchant City for these nights specifically so they can walk. If that is you, walk.

Where a pre-booked car does earn its money is an airport run, a group, a late flight, an early flight the next morning, children, or anyone who does not want the end of the night to be a logistics problem.

Oasis at Celtic Park: common questions

When is Oasis playing at Celtic Park?

Oasis play Celtic Park in Glasgow on five nights in May 2027: Friday 21 May, Sunday 23 May, Tuesday 25 May, Friday 28 May and Saturday 29 May 2027. The Glasgow run opens the Oasis Live ’27 Tour, ahead of eleven nights at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester in June 2027.

How far is Celtic Park from Glasgow Airport?

Celtic Park is about 13 miles from Glasgow Airport and the drive normally takes 25 to 35 minutes. Edinburgh Airport is about 45 miles and roughly an hour, and Glasgow Prestwick is about 34 miles and 45 to 55 minutes. Expect longer on a concert night, because 60,411 people are heading for the same postcode.

Can I book a Celtic Park taxi eight months in advance?

Yes. GLA Transfers accepts bookings for any future date, including all five Oasis nights in May 2027, and the price is held at the figure agreed on the day you book. There is no booking fee and no deposit, and a booking can be changed free of charge provided there are more than two hours before pickup.

Will the price go up because it is a concert night?

No. GLA Transfers quotes a fixed price before you book and that price does not change because of the date, the demand or how busy Glasgow is that evening. There is no demand pricing, no surge multiplier and no meter. A fare quoted for 29 May 2027 is the fare you pay on 29 May 2027.

Is there parking at Celtic Park for the Oasis concerts?

Celtic Park does not operate a general public car park on event days, and the residential streets around Parkhead are subject to event day traffic management. Both Celtic FC and Glasgow City Council direct people towards public transport or being dropped off. A pre-booked private hire car avoids the problem entirely because it drops you and leaves rather than parking. Check the specific arrangements for your date closer to the time, because event day restrictions are set per event.

How do I get a taxi away from Celtic Park after the Oasis concert?

Book it in advance, because there is no taxi rank at Celtic Park and 60,411 people leave at once. A pre-booked private hire car is allocated to your booking ahead of time at a price already fixed, so it is not subject to demand pricing. GLA Transfers agrees a named pickup point with you when you book, positioned away from the immediate crowd and road closures, and you get the driver’s name, photo and vehicle registration in advance. The train from Dalmarnock, ten minutes on foot from the stadium, is the cheapest alternative and the right answer for many people.

What time should I book my pickup for after the concert?

Stage times for Celtic Park have not been announced yet, so book for 30 minutes after the advertised finish time once it is published. That lets the bulk of the crowd clear and means you walk to a waiting car rather than standing in a queue. If you are catching a flight or a train instead, give GLA Transfers that time and the office works the pickup backwards from it.

Can GLA Transfers take a group of twelve to Celtic Park?

Yes. Twelve passengers travel in a 16 seat minibus, or in two eight seaters if you want the group split, and more than one vehicle can be allocated against the same arrival time so everyone moves together. The largest single movement GLA Transfers has coordinated was more than 120 passengers across a mixed fleet of eight seaters, Mercedes V-Class, saloons and executive vehicles, all allocated in advance with one person in the office owning the whole movement.

My flight lands three hours before the concert. Is that enough time?

Normally yes, comfortably. Glasgow Airport to Celtic Park is usually 25 to 35 minutes, so three hours leaves room for baggage, traffic and a stop at your hotel. GLA Transfers tracks your inbound flight and re-times the pickup automatically if you land late, and a delay is never charged for, however late it lands. If the margin is under two hours, phone the office on 0141 473 4300 and talk it through rather than booking blind.

How do I get from Glasgow to the airport for an early flight the morning after?

Book it at the same time as the concert night transfer, and every GLA Transfers pickup before 06:00 carries the Early Flight Promise at no extra cost. Your driver is allocated the day before rather than dispatched on the night, a backup driver is assigned to the journey, the dispatch system flags a driver running behind and the office phones you before you notice, and the phone is answered by a person at any hour on 0141 473 4300.

Does GLA Transfers sell Oasis tickets?

No. GLA Transfers is a licensed private hire operator and sells transport only. We do not sell, resell or arrange concert tickets, and we are not affiliated with Oasis, Celtic Football Club, Ticketmaster or any promoter of the tour. Tickets for the Oasis Live ’27 Tour were sold through the official ballot and on-sale in September 2026.

Which airports does GLA Transfers cover for the Oasis concerts?

Glasgow Airport, Edinburgh Airport and Glasgow Prestwick, in both directions, plus door to door across Glasgow, Paisley, Edinburgh, Stirling, Ayrshire, Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire and Loch Lomond. If you are flying into Edinburgh because the Glasgow flights sold out for those dates, that is a normal GLA Transfers journey and it is quoted as a fixed price like any other.

Tour dates last checked 27 September 2026 against the published Oasis Live ’27 Tour schedule. Review figures checked 19 September 2026.
